Bingo Night & Chili Supper for senior citizens
The Lawson Park Board will sponsor Senior Citizens Bingo on Tuesday, November 24 at the Lawson Community Room.This month's event will also feature a free Soup & Chili Dinner beginning at 6 p.m.
Bingo will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Senior Citizen Bingo is sponsored by the Lawson Park & Recreation Department.
Voice of the Silents coming to Farris
The Voice of the Silents will be presented from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the historic Farris Theater in Richmond this coming Saturday, November 21.This 'free' festival will feature Douglas Fairbanks in "The Mark of Zorro" and Lillian Gish in "Broken Blossoms".

Mineral Water Bowl set for December 5
The 2009 Mineral Water Bowl will be a rematch of the Augustana College Vikings from Sious Falls, S.D. and Missouri Western State University from St. Joseph.Kickoff will be at noon on Saturday, December 5, at the Tiger Stadium in Excelsior Springs.
This NCAA Division II contest annually features top non-playoff teams from the Mid-America Intercollegiate AthleticAssociation and the Northern Sun Intercollegiae Conference.
The will be the 10th match-up between the two conferences.
The Mineral Water Bowl began in 1948 as a high school game. Small college teams were featured from 1954 to 1975 and junior college teams played from 1992 to 1999.
